With combat drawing inspiration from a rich legacy of tactical combat engines old and new (including Divinity: Original Sin, Wartales and Solasta), Hidden Pass Skirmishes gives you your first taste of its multi-level battlefields, rich in verticality and tactical freedom, with flying units capable of flanking in three directions.
Hidden Pass's combat also welcomes risk-takers. Magic can deal enormous damage, but runs the risk of driving magic-users to madness. Losing units isn't the end of the battle either, as your airship carries reserve units, letting you tag fresh fighters into the battle at any point.

Hidden Pass Key Features:
- Verticality and Violence: Fight on fronts above and below. Flying soldiers and monsters create complex new problems (and solutions) as you carve out your battle-plan across the floating islands.
- Magic and Madness: Elyrium crystals are the reason for this conflict, and their influence can be felt even in turn-based combat. Magic is powerful, but comes with a cost and a risk. Units only grow more powerful as they tap into this mystical source, but run the risk of losing their minds.
- Allies and Attrition: Keep your grip on the front of battle through swapping out units or calling in reinforcements mid-mission. So long as you've still got soldiers fit to fight in the region, surrender is not an option.
- Might and Machinery: Flesh and blood will only serve you so far. Research and manufacture powerful Elyrium-fueled automatons with their own tactical specialties, then deploy them on the front lines.
- Strongholds and Strategy: Upgrade your flying tower-fortress with new facilities, allowing you to recruit stronger soldiers, build deadlier automatons, and claim valuable resources as you move your base between contested zones.
