EMBRACE PROGRESS IN PATCH 5.2: HEX RIFT!

League of Legends: Wild Rift Patch 5.2: Hex Rift releases July 18 and brings game-altering changes to the game based on the mysterious power of Hextech!

New Champions

Hailing from across Runeterra, powerful new magic-wielders will become available in Patch 5.2 for players of all three lanes to enjoy.
  • The reclusive leader of the Frostguard, Lissandra the Ice Witch uses her elemental magic to twist the power of True Ice into something dark and terrible, entombing or impaling any who would reveal her deepest secrets.
  • Twice slain and thrice born, Mordekaiser the Iron Revenant is a brutal warlord from a foregone epoch who uses his necromantic sorcery to bind souls into an eternity of servitude. Few now remain who remember his earlier conquests, or know the true extent of his powers.
  • Milio is a young boy from a remote village on the border of Ixtal, where his family was exiled generations ago. Through his unique way of seeing the world, he has mastered the fire axiom, which he uses to help and heal others.

Champion Reworks

During this patch, Rengar the Pridestalker will receive a major overhaul, allowing him to cast Bola Strike mid-leap and always get a critical hit with Savagery.

Also, Kayle the Righteous will now be able to cast her ultimate faster, allowing her to deal damage continuously.

Gameplay

Originating from the progressive city of Piltover, Hextech has spread across the Rift resulting in the new Hextech-infused Summoner’s Rift, which features new neutral monsters, objectives, and more!

On the new Summoner’s Rift, Baron Nashor’s familiar form has been altered into the Hextech Baron, and with it, the Baron pit has become the Hextech Lab. Additionally, after slaying the new Hextech Baron, T-Hex Mecha will spawn at players’ base, lending them powerful T-Hex abilities.

Moreover, instead of the Rift Herald, one of two new monsters will spawn at random in each match: Hextech Guerrilla Turret and Hextech Mimic. Defeating Hextech Guerrilla Turret grants players the ability to summon it and take advantage of its power to push down towers quickly, while taking down the Hextech Mimic will spawn Micro Mimics, which support players as they approach enemy towers.

Aside from affecting monsters, Hextech has also progressed technology for champions to utilize. Players can activate the new Hexgates that have appeared in the jungle to teleport across the map or battle over Hextech Loot Kits that drop around the map to secure powerful buffs.

Beyond the Rift, players can look forward to experimenting with Hextech augments and upgrades being introduced to two other game modes.

Lastly, the following new items have made their way to the shop:
  • Sundered Sky is an all-around item fit for both light- and heavyweight fighters, empowering champions’ basic attacks with the ability to critically strike and grant healing.
  • Eclipse allows lightweight fighters, assassins, and marksmen deal bonus damage by applying two stacks of either basic attacks or abilities on enemy champions.
  • Enhancing survivability by granting health and supporting while in combat, Psychic Projector is an especially effective item against ranged enemy champions.
  • The new Ravenous Hydra Enchant adds another option to help lightweight fighters deal area-of-effect damage.
