Quebec City, Quebec, Canada – June 27, 2024 – Nine Dots Studio (Outward) reveals the launch window for its upcoming roguelike PC title Lost in Prayer. Players can expect to test their skills and delve into the unforgiving cycle of reincarnation when the game launches its Early Access in Q1 2025!

True to the roguelike core principles Lost in Prayer will offer a brutal yet rewarding experience. Every decision carries immense weight, forcing players to think strategically and adapt to survive. One misstep or a poorly timed attack can spell doom.

Lost in Prayer thrives on high stakes. Players will scour treacherous environments, their every step a gamble with mortality. But survival isn't just about brute force. Cunning and resourcefulness are key. Players can utilize their surroundings, setting traps, luring enemies into dangerous situations, and exploiting weaknesses to overcome them in the most efficient way possible. Succeed in your encounters and you’ll be rewarded with precious loot increasing your chances of survival!

The core twist in Lost in Prayer lies in its character progression system. In Lost In Prayer, anything that kills you becomes playable. The very enemies that vanquished you become playable characters for your next runs. Each character carries their unique skills and abilities, offering a diverse roster of combatants as you delve deeper into the cycle of life and death.

“For a decade now, I’ve wanted Nine Dots to bring its flavor to the roguelike genre.” says Guillaume Boucher-Vidal, CEO at Nine Dots Studio. “We’ve seen so much success with roguelites, but I was willing to bet big that the classic recipe can still expand its audience. Soon, we’ll see if I overestimated the market.”

Lost in Prayer promises a challenging and innovative take on the roguelike genre. Prepare to face your demons, both literal and figurative, when the game launches on PC Early Access next year.
