Venture into a world of waking nightmares alone or as a co-op group of up to five players. H.P. Lovecraft’s Old Gods have twisted the earth and its inhabitants into unspeakable horrors. Defy their might with a team of Dreamers and by forging a bond with a powerful RailGod, an ancient abomination from beyond the stars, wearing a mighty locomotive as its shell.
Billions have lost their lives or minds to the alien monster-gods, engulfing the world in chaos. Lovecraft and his band of Dreamers have entered the sacred Dreamland realm, devising a plan over many years in the hopes of saving humanity.
From these era-spanning meetings of minds, The Eternal Railway was born: a system of quantum-bonded liquid metal rails forming a continuous Moebius loop across Earth's existing rail networks. Magical stations in every city serve as an interconnection of energy nodes powering protective domes for population centers.
Upon their return to the Waking World, the Dreamers now pilot the RailGods across the Eternal Railway, fueled by sacrifice and arcane magic. Expand the RailGod with custom cars for storage, loot, and workbenches. Equip axes, firearms, and magic to battle or capture eldritch horrors.
Purge encroaching madness and unlock powerful GodKeeper abilities, customize skills, and rebel against the Great Old Ones. Travel the Railway to create a protective sigil across the planet, and banish the unknowable abominations to the Dark World from whence they came.
RailGods of Hysterra launches in Early Access on PC via Steam on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, and will support English, French, German, Russian, Spanish - Spain, Portuguese - Brazil, Simplified Chinese, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, and Turkish languages.
