Superball: Action-Packed Superhero Footballer in a Cyberpunk World – Demo Returns Today with Twitch Drops and Epic Matches

Take one part Marvel Rivals and two parts Rocket League and get Superball

CHONGQING, CHINA (April 23, 2025) – Pathea Games, the studio behind My Time at Sandrock and My Time at Portia, is proud to announce the return of their superpowered team sports game, Superball (formerly Super Buckyball Tournament), with an all-new playable demo launching today April 23rd at 6 PM CEST and running for two weeks. Available on Steam, the demo introduces brand-new, high-energy content, tons of rewards, and Twitch Drops to welcome both veterans and newcomers into the cyber-punk arena.


Superball is a fast-paced, 3v3 multiplayer action sports game that blends strategic teamplay with explosive hero abilities, all set in a futuristic world. The game will be available as a free to play full release title on PC via Steam Store in 2025, with a seasonal battle pass and regular content updates after launch.

  • Play Free from April 23
Jump into thrilling matches during the two-week demo and get an early taste of what’s to come in Superball's next phase.
 
  • Twitch Drops and Demo Rewards Enabled:
Be sure to tune into your favorite streamers and claim your rewards starting April 23rd 6 PM CEST! Twitch Drop rewards are only available during the demo test and will not carry over to the launch version.
  • 15 minutes: Hero Select Card (Self-pick)
  • 30 minutes: Random Epic Skin (Purple Tier)
  • 60 minutes: Random Goal Celebration Effect

Demo Key Features
  • Fresh 7-Minute Matches
Each 7-minute match offers endless replayability thanks to dynamic gameplay, a variety of characters, and ability combos that let players strategize in numerous ways.
 
  • All heroes free for 72 Hours
For a limited time, all heroes will be unlocked and free to play for 72 hours from the moment you sign up. This countdown starts immediately—even if you're offline—so make the most of it while it lasts!
 
  • Characters and Abilities
Superball features 16 unique heroes, each equipped with powerful abilities that can turn the tide of any match. All players will have access to a core selection of heroes from the start, with three additional heroes unlockable through simple tasks. The rest can be unlocked using in-game currency (Silver Coins), with each hero taking roughly five hours of gameplay to earn. Players can also unlock heroes via the Rookie Path reward track. On Day 2, they'll receive a Hero Voucher that lets them unlock any hero of their choice.
 
  • Advanced Teamplay
With assisted passing mechanics, Superball enhances teamwork with quick, fluid passing and smooth collaborative plays. Success in Superball requires more than just raw power; it’s all about mastering your hero’s abilities and working with your teammates to outplay the opposition.
 
  • Game Modes

In addition to the standard 3v3 game modes, Superball will feature variety of different game modes including Slam Dunk, Dodgeball, Icebreaker and Divine Path  for a more casual experience. That’s not all - complete different missions for each mode and get extra rewards!
