Wrocław, April 4th 2023 – as previously announced, Whitemoon Games is adding a new endgame instance, an introductory quest for the instance, a sidequest, and part one of the gear overhaul. The update will go live on April 4th at 10 AM CEST.
“Until now, we’ve been mostly introducing new content for low or mid level characters. This time, we decided to make the strongest Taernians happy. The endgame of an MMORPG should be a tough nut to crack. Cooperation that requires planning, puzzles, powerful opponents - that’s what Sidraga’s instance is all about. We have a pot open in the office for people willing to bet when our veterans will be about to defeat the big bad.” says the founder of the studio, Krzysztof Danilewicz.
The instance is dedicated to characters level 135 and above. Players will be able to get five new legendary pieces of gear by defeating the main opponent - the Winged Lady Sidraga. The studio emphasizes the fact that this is an endgame instance, so it should be a very difficult challenge. The adventure is preceded by a quest where players help a scholar of Vorling history trying to find answers to his questions, discover ancient secrets, and acquire a powerful artifact uncovering the way to a long-forgotten foe.
“Apart from the new boss instance, we’re also doing a complete overhaul of all gear in the game. We begin by laying the foundations. As we announced earlier, the basis of the new gear customization system will be the ability to insert any character-enhancing modifiers into gear using the so-called drifs. We want to give players more development paths, encourage them to try new things, and make gameplay more exciting. The more options you have, the better the fun.” adds Danilewicz.
The studio announced that the overhaul will be divided into stages and the upcoming update will feature the most important changes. Players will be able to combine the aforementioned drifs into more powerful versions, and also to extract them and place them in different pieces of gear. The announcement was met with a lot of positive feedback, but there were also many questions, so Whitemoon Games published an FAQ to answer them - HERE.
A new sidequest for characters level 66+ will also be introduced into the game. Apart from that, the studio also announced the second edition of the Spring event (Bunny Marathon) where players will be able to get a new event skin, experience, boss entry tickets, and other utility items. The fun will start on April 8th at 9 AM CEST and will last 72h.

Broken Ranks is the successor to the MMORPG The Pride of Taern. It boasts a unique, turn-based combat system and a grim, low-fantasy world seen from an isometric view.
