[2024-0419] On Friday the 19th, Smilegate announced that its global hit mobile RPG ‘Epic Seven’, serviced by Smilegate and developed by Super Creative, will have a collaboration with the popular Japanese IP ’OVERLORD’.
OVERLORD is a globally beloved IP, based on the popular original novel that has spawned successful adaptations into both animation and comics, garnering widespread acclaim and popularity. The original novel has sold over 14 million copies in Japan alone, while the animation has amassed hundreds of millions of views worldwide. The story revolves around the protagonist being logged into the game at the time of its service termination, only to be unexpectedly transported to another world, where his adventures unfold.
During this collaboration, taking place from April 18th to May 9th, players will have the opportunity to encounter the protagonist of OVERLORD, 'Ainz Ooal Gown', along with his loyal subordinates 'Albedo' and 'Shalltear' as Heroes in Epic Seven. Furthermore, a special side story, 'OVERLORD from Another World,' featuring these Heroes will also be unveiled. Players will have the opportunity to obtain the 5★ Moonlight Hero, 'Ainz Ooal Gown,' for free by playing through the Side Story, along with various rewards such as Lv. 85 Epic Equipment.
Additionally, Smilegate will host collaboration-themed events where players can undertake various in-game missions and enjoy massive rewards. Through the events, players can receive a variety of rewards including up to 126 free Covenant Summons, along with items like "Awakening Elixir" and "Epic Penguins" that facilitate the rapid growth of Heroes. Players will also be able to get a Dark Connection which allows them to randomly acquire a 3 to 5★ Dark elemental Hero. Additionally, a summoning ticket for 4 or 5★ Fire, Ice, and Earth elemental Heroes will be available.
Meanwhile, from the 18th until May 2nd, there will be a Limited Drop Rate Up Event for the collaboration Hero 'Albedo'. Albedo is a 5★ Earth elemental Knight who can reduce the damage allies take from critical hits. She also utilizes useful skills such as "Rage of Nazarick," which decreases the enemy’s Defense, and "Let's Go, Bicorn!" which dispels enemy buffs and increases Speed of allies. Starting from the 25th, players can obtain Shalltear, a 5★ Fire elemental Warrior Hero who excels in dispelling buffs of targets with Attack lower than the caster's Attack. Additionally, she can contain opponents with high Evasion with her accuracy and then inflict stackable injuries on them.
