Long before the village of Pedra Moura was founded, the caves were said to belong to an ancient and sinister cult known as A Irmandade da Compaña (The Brotherhood of the Compaña). Devoted to the spirits of the dead—particularly A Santa Compaña, the ghostly procession that guides the souls of the damned to their final rest—the cult sought to harness the power of the afterlife.
They believed that through dark sacrificial rituals, they could summon and control A Santa Compaña, bending the forces of life and death to their will. At the heart of their power was a cursed relic known as O Corazón da Sombra (The Heart of the Shadow), a stone said to grant its wielder the ability to communicate with the dead and command the spirits that haunted the caves.
Now, whispers claim that the cult has gathered once more in the sanctuary of San Andrés de Teixido, preparing to summon A Santa Compaña. Yet their ritual remains incomplete, for only a witch can seal the final act of summoning. Until today, they had none. But that is about to change.
