Press release

"Lern Island Letters", a short narrative game, releases January 13th

We’re Tom and Dorian, two french game devs with 15 years of combined professional experience. We met while working on Solasta: Crown of the Magister (a D&D RPG), and we're about to release Lern Island Letters, a short narrative game we created together.

📬 What’s the game about?

You play as a postman, sorting mail for the five intriguing residents of a remote island. Pick up on their peculiar habits, discover their secrets without opening the envelopes, and try to save this peaceful haven from its fate!

You can find additional information about the game on its Steam page, watch the trailer on Youtube.

👉 Why we think you’ll enjoy our game

  • It’s a narrative investigation game that tells its story with minimal reading: you don’t open the envelopes so you have to rely on subtle clues to piece the mystery together.

  • It explores whether following the rules is always the right choice, both as a worker and as a player.

  • It’s cozy and respectful of your time, perfect for a one-sitting gaming session on a winter evening.

💡 Details

Lern Island Letters releases on January 13th, 2025 (next Monday!) for just $2.99 / €2.99 and offers a 30-minute experience in English or French.

⚙️ A weird business decision, why we do it anyway, and the “cog in the machine”

We understand Lern Island Letters does not fit typical industry molds: players may refund it, or watch a playthrough instead of purchasing. Despite this, we believe it offers a memorable experience at a fair price—one that’s both enjoyable and thought-provoking, questioning what you can do when your job is just a tiny cog in the machine.

🙏 Wrapping up!

We hope you’ll enjoy discovering Lern Island Letters as much as we loved creating it, and that you’ll find it worth sharing with your readers. We’d love to chat if you’d like to know more!
