Today, developer Sunny Peak and indie publisher Headup are releasing a new trailer and demo for their upcoming pixel-precision platformer — Symphonia. Set for a late 2024 release on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation, the game challenges players to restore music to a magical realm.
A new trailer and PC demo are available now. The demo gives players a brief introduction to the game and features elements of some of its early levels.
In Symphonia, you take on the role of Philemon, a masked musician equipped only with a violin and bow. They use the bow in the game’s platforming elements to navigate the world while playing the violin to bring ancient mechanisms of the world back to life. The gorgeous world of Symphonia is hand-drawn and traditionally animated and features a powerful score.
Features of Symphonia include:
- Experience and overcome platforming challenges with all of Philemon's abilities
- Discover various environments that combine music and machinery
- Use your violin and bow to catapult yourself through the world and complete levels by solving exciting platforming challenges
- Gather musical Prodigies and play breathtaking concerts to bring music, joy, and glory back to the land
- Enjoy the performance of the Scoring Orchestra Paris, recorded specifically for Symphonia and written by composers Olivier Esman and Alexandre Bucas-Français
