Massive update expands game world, adds new weapons & foes, and more

Are you ready to learn more about what it’s like to step into the boots of the Soulslinger and battle the undead minions of the Cartel? Well then, partner, today’s your lucky day. Developer Elder Games and Headup are sharing a new gameplay preview trailer showcasing these elements and more of their upcoming roguelite FPS — Soulslinger: Envoy of Death.

Along with the new gameplay walkthrough video, we are pleased to announce a huge new update for the game today! This update expands the Outskirts realm, adding new arenas and enemies, a new weapon—the Wraithshot—new relics, new bosses, and more…
 
Today’s update includes:

• The second half of the 'Outskirts' realm has been added with new arenas and new enemies
• A massive new cinematic introducing Victor — the main villain of the game
• A new weapon: the ‘Wraithshot.” Schematics can be found upon defeating the Revenant Sheriff boss
• Rush Encounters: these become available after meeting Victor
• Five new, elite enemy types summoned by Victor during Rush Encounters
• A new boss: the 'Sentinel' can be defeated at the end of the 'Outskirts' realm
• A new relic: the Scroll of Wealth schematics can be purchased from the pirate vendor, causing coins to stay on the ground longer
• Remnant Bossfights: You can now fight realm bosses such as the Cursed King or the Countess again for more rewards
• Lots of new conversations back at Haven that provide more lore and story details
• Added the final Well of Tears upgrades that unlock Battle Shrines
• Added Battle Shrines to the game, these offer unfair temporary advantages in exchange for sacrificing health

Soulslinger: Envoy of Death is currently in Early Access on Steam and challenges players to don the boots of a gunslinger trapped in the afterlife, who must collect souls for Death himself. However, there’s more to this story than meets the eye, as you’ll be battling The Cartel, an evil underworld organization that lives on beyond the grave, as you learn more about your prior life from before you answered Death’s call.
