Saga Brings Industry Leaders Together to Accelerate Web3 Game Development and Communities

Company Celebrates Milestones Achieved Through Inaugural Partnerships with Celestia Labs, Polygon and Ava Labs

SAN FRANCISCO – July 14, 2023 – Saga, the leading Web3 scalability protocol for automated deployment of application-specific blockchains in decentralized gaming, entertainment and finance, continues to build its reputation as the solution of record for appchains in the market as it celebrates milestones and early line up of strategic partnerships. In less than 12 months, 224 new projects have entered the Saga ecosystem through its Innovator Program, 80% of which are gaming-oriented. Saga just completed its latest round, adding Cohort 4 to its Innovator Program.

Originally built on Cosmos, Saga is growing its ecosystem through its partnerships, most notably with Celestia Labs, Polygon and Ava Labs. Saga is bringing industry leaders in gaming, entertainment and decentralized finance together to create a comprehensive ecosystem around improved appchains, offering a more proven, powerful and flexible solution for creating content and software. The project aims to further grow the Saga appchain ecosystem of tools and resources for its community of developers. Currently, Saga has established partnerships with:

  • Celestia Labs - Saga is partnering with Celestia Labs to implement sequencers-as-a-service to scale rollup architecture. The solution will enable applications to automatically launch Celestia rollups with decentralized sequencers on Saga.
  • Polygon - Saga’s partnership with Polygon accelerates the development and adoption of appchains as a dominant scaling solution for Web3. The Saga protocol will automate the instantiation of Supernets, Polygon’s appchain solution.
  • Ava Labs - Saga is partnering with Ava Labs in which the Saga protocol will release a software stack that further automates the instantiation of Subnets, Avalanche’s appchain solution.

“Saga’s mission is to change the way developers create games, entertainment systems and financial platforms, using our leadership position in appchain technologies, said Rebecca Liao, co-founder and CEO of Saga. “Our partners share the same vision, and their support has emboldened us further to create the world’s best protocol for scaling blockchain infrastructure, accessible to small and large developers alike.”

The Saga Multiverse is taking off within the ecosystem. The project’s robust toolsets enable Saga’s Innovators to focus on what they do best – channeling their creativity into transformative experiences, and not worrying about building back-end systems. Cohort 4 joins Saga’s community of Innovators, producing experiences such as Another World, Ailand and TBA Games. The work of Innovators using Saga and their creations can be seen here, along with additional characters, stories and games created as a result of Innovator Multiverse collaborations.

In the coming weeks, Saga will share more of its plans and efforts aimed at game developers.
