Smithville, TX –March 14, 2025– Indie game development studio Gilligames will be launching Shrouded Aspect, a turn-based tactical strategy game, on Steam on May 1st.
Shrouded Aspect is a story-driven RPG set in a medieval Celtic fantasy world, where a devastating plague signals the return of the old gods, with Despater, the god of death, spreading chaos.
Players journey with Betha and local volunteers across 32 branching scenarios, making tough choices that shape their experience, influence the party, and ensure high replayability.
Featuring squad-level tactical strategy, character progression through skills and equipment, and the ability to recruit new members, the game offers an immersive and challenging single-player experience.

About Gilligames
Gilligames founder Todd M. Gillissie discovered computer programming and paper & pencil role-playing games as a young teen in the 80's. Self-taught in programming, graphic arts, music and sound engineering, Gillissie eventually put them all together and began creating games. While still primarily a hobbyist game designer & developer, Gillissie was recruited by Shrapnel Games to publish his first commercial game “Space HoRSE” in 2002.
On February 19, 2007, Gilligames released the musical sim/role-playing game "Shady O'Grady's™ Rising Star". SOGRS is Gilligames' first release as a publisher. The sequel, "Rising Star 2" was eventually released on August 12, 2020, and still has an active following to this day.
Gilligames has published a few mobile games for iOS and Android, including desert island survival game "Stranded Without A Phone", and match-3 word game "Word Wager".
In June of 2024, Todd decided to revisit "Shrouded Aspect", a fantasy-based tactical strategy game that was originally designed in 2007 but never finished as a PC game. A release date of May 1, 2025 is planned.
