Steam Page for the Dark Survival Horror Fearwoods Now Available

Olsztyn 09.10.25 The Steam page for Fearwoods has just been launched. It’s a cooperative survival horror where light and silence are the player’s only weapons. The title is being developed by a three-person independent studio, Fearwoods, created by fans of the horror genre. This is their debut project, and starting today, it can be added to wishlists.

The game is built with Unreal Engine 5, allowing the creators to craft realistic lighting, a dense atmosphere, and a tension-filled forest that lives by its own rhythm.

Fearwoods takes players into a cursed forest. Every sound can give away your position. Every flash of light might save your life — but it can also draw the monster’s attention. Three people. One night. And something that should not exist. To survive, you must cooperate, listen, and remain silent.

The game features a three-player co-op mode. Each player has their own light source — a weapon and a guide in one. Light drives the demon away and helps find the path through the dense forest. But darkness makes it easier for the creature to sense its victims. Silence means safety. Light means risk. Every decision comes at a price.

During exploration, players uncover fragments of Aveline’s journal, damaged GPS receivers, and traces of the demon. Each step takes them deeper into the forest. With every discovery, the story becomes more unsettling — and less obvious.
