Omaha, NE - Stories About Indie Devs (storiesaboutindiedevs.com) announces the launch of a Kickstarter campaign to bring the stories of indie video game developers to a wider audience.
The vast majority of video game developers are independent, not working for or under contract with a publisher. These developers put their own money and years of their lives into creating video games that millions of people around the world enjoy. Stories About Indie Devs is the only website that puts its focus solely on interviewing and telling the stories of these developers.
"I believe that every indie developer has a story worth telling," Thomas Reinking, creator of Stories About Indie Devs, said. "Other video game websites put their focus on the games themselves. Not this website. On Stories About Indie Devs, every story is centered on a specific indie developer or studio and tells their story."
The website already has a handful of articles written based on interviews with various indie developers and publishers.
The Kickstarter campaign, which ends on October 30, will provide funds for the website for around two months and help the website find an audience that values stories about indie devs they can't find anywhere else.
Those who pledge to the campaign will receive physical rewards such as a tote bag or t-shirt with the Stories About Indie Devs logo on them, or the opportunity to sit in on an interview with a developer if pledging to the highest tier.
