PARIS (Feb. 11, 2025) - Tactical Adventures, a French indie video game studio based in Paris, is thrilled to announce a majority investment in its capital by video game company, Kepler Interactive.
Founded in 2018 by Mathieu Girard, Tactical Adventures developed and published its first game, Solasta: Crown of the Magister (released in 2021), and recently unveiled its sequel, Solasta II, during the Game Awards ceremony last December.
Tactical Adventures join Kepler Interactive’s global family of studios and developer partners, each showcasing some of the newest and most brilliant ideas in games that put experimental game design and unique art direction at the fore.
On joining the company behind games including the critically acclaimed Sifu, Tchia, Scorn and Pacific Drive, and the highly-anticipated Rematch and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Mathieu Girard, CEO of Tactical Adventures, shared:
“We’re delighted to join the Kepler family! It’s a group of creative independent studios that align closely with our values, allowing us to better envision and amplify the launch of Solasta II.”
“Kepler’s collaborative model perfectly matches Tactical Adventures’ goals, as the studio will benefit from Kepler Interactive’s expertise in marketing and publishing while retaining control over our production and editorial independence.”
Kepler Interactive’s CEO, Alexis Garavaryan, said of the partnership: “It is with great pride that we welcome Tactical Adventures into the Kepler collective. When bringing on new studios or partners, alignment of values and making sure we elevate the entire group are key priorities for us, and it’s a decision we consider carefully.”
“Tactical’s commitment to authenticity aligns perfectly with our vision. With Solasta, they crafted a standout tactical RPG that resonated deeply with the passionate community they have nurtured over the years, and we’re excited to continue supporting their mission, while welcoming their fresh perspective and expertise to the family.”
Tactical Adventures will now focus entirely on the development of Solasta II while staying true to its philosophy: together with a skilled and passionate team, push boundaries to deliver the ultimate TRPG experience to players, with the community’s involvement.
Solasta II is currently in development for PC and can already be added to wishlists in preparation for its Early Access release in 2025.
