Wrocław, Poland — January 6, 2022 — Techland prepared some new information for Dying Light 2 Stay Human fans and presented skill trees available for the main protagonist of their upcoming title. Together with new approaches in character’s progression, they presented parkour and combat skills to explore in the game.
Every player, while performing specific actions, will earn experience points in two different areas - parkour and combat. Taking traversal action like climbing, jumping or vaulting will be rewarded with a progressing parkour-experience bar. The more complicated and skillful movements players perform, the more experience will be able to gain. To earn combat related experience points, players should fight their enemies and perform combined attacks that will be rewarded with a bigger amount of points.
Completing quests is also a fast way to fill the experience bars - both parkour and combat related. To unlock new skills and abilities, it’s worth spending some time and unlocking new options of traversal and fighting methods in the game. For example, there is the Combat Skills called Grapple that allows you (if you have the right timing!) to throw enemies on the side by using the momentum of their attack. You can combine this Skill with Stomp that gives you the opportunity to headstomp enemies that lay on the ground to kill them instantly! There are a lot of combinations possible between all the Skills, players will pick them up depending on their playstyle.
Of course there are also a lot of combinations possible with Parkour Skills, Dart is a skill that temporarily increases your running speed, if you combine it with Double Jump a Skill that helps you to jump higher while vaulting obstacles you will be able to reach places that were unreachable before!
