Als Maxwell Atoms, einem schiffbrüchigen Spacetronauten, dessen DNA mit Beartana der Bärin, verschmolzen ist, stürzt man sich in Bears in Space kopfüber in Horden von ölhungrigen Robotern.
Das Spiel ist ein verrücktes und humorvolles Abenteuer, das von einem kleinen Team von drei australischen Freunden entwickelt wurde und in dem man sich seinen Weg durch aufregende und abwechslungsreiche Schauplätze bahnen muss. Zu sehen gibt es alles, vom Ödland über Weltraumbasen bis hin zu uralten, versteckten Tempeln und vielem mehr. Nun gilt es, sich den Weg zurück zur Erde zu bahnen und, wenn noch Zeit bleibt, seine Mannschaft zu retten. Es ist Zeit für Bear vs. Robot!
Während des Steam Next Fest (vom 5. Februar um 19:00 Uhr CET bis zum 12. Februar um 19:00 Uhr CET) können Spieler mit der neuen Demo für Bears in Space selber Pfote anlegen. In der Demo geht es nicht nur darum, gegen Horden von Robo-Gegnern anzutreten - die Spieler können sich auch in einen Bosskampf mit dem Kraken, sieben Nebenmissionen und die Minispiele BasketCube und Bearjira stürzen. Außerdem können sich die Spieler eine Vielzahl von Ingame-Waffen schnappen, von der SFG bis zum Propellerhut und noch mehr!
