January 14, 2025 – Mad Mimic and Light Up Games are excited to announce that Mark of the Deep will launch on January 24, 2025, for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Console versions for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S will release later this year.
To give players an early taste of the adventure, an updated public demo is now available on Steam, featuring new gameplay challenges designed to push even the most seasoned explorers:
- Speedrun Mode: Race through treacherous waters with a built-in runtime counter.
- No-Hit Challenges: Face the dangers of the deep without taking damage.
- No-Death Runs: Brave the cursed isle and emerge unscathed to cement your legend.
These additions offer a fresh and rewarding way to experience the game’s intricate environments and challenging combat.
Mark of the Deep combines the intense, methodical combat of Souls-likes with the exploration and progression of Metroidvanias. Players will navigate perilous waters, battle relentless foes, and unravel the mysteries of a haunted isle while striving to reunite their lost pirate crew.
