Larkspur, Calif. (Sept. 10, 2024) - Publisher PLAION and developer Dambuster Studios are pleased to announce that Dead Island 2: Ultimate Edition will be releasing on Oct. 22, making this edition the one-stop shop for all Dead Island fans. Coinciding with the Ultimate Edition’s release will be the new Neighborhood Watch game mode, debuting with Patch 6.
The Ultimate Edition contains the complete Dead Island 2 base game, both blood-soaked story expansions - Haus and SoLA - and a plethora of stylish cosmetics and deadly weapons, including the brand-new Kingdom Come: Deliverance II weapon pack and:
- Memories of Banoi Pack
- Golden Weapons Pack
- Pulp Weapons Pack
- Red’s Demise Pack
- All six Slayer's Premium Skin Pack
In addition to the Ultimate Edition, Patch 6 will introduce all Dead Island 2 players to the Neighborhood Watch game mode, a new cooperative horde mode. Developed by Fishlabs in collaboration with Dambuster studios, players will have to work together against swarms of zombies, including a new way to strategize against the undead.

As members of the Bobcats, a fresh trio of College survivors, players must defend their frat house in the Venice Canals from flesh-hungry waves of zombies, using new skills, weapons, and traps (a first in the series).
Adding on to the experience is the addition of New Game Plus, where players can dive back into the heart of LA (or HELL-A as we call it), armed with their favorite characters and weapons to face a whole new set of challenges and reap new rewards. Experienced slayers can look forward to an additional skill slot and increased level cap too.
