December 8, 2023 - Hooded Horse and Eremite Games are pleased to share that dark fantasy roguelite city-building game Against the Storm has now left early access. The game marks its transition to 1.0 with a new game mode, a PC Game Pass debut, and a supporter’s pack!
The new “Queen’s Hand” mode ushers in the 1.0 era and is end-game content specially crafted for experienced Viceroys. The mechanics are similar to regular World Map expeditions but with extra challenges. For example, Ancient Seals will be far away from the player’s starting location, and you only have a single cycle to complete them. Players will also need to be a lot more strategic about which upgrades they choose along the way.
Against the Storm has seen some significant developments during its early access run, with content updates every two weeks bringing a host of major and minor changes. Two new species were added to the game, including the popular Fox people. There were also major reworks to the strategy layer and Blightstorms, not to mention loads of new glade events, buildings, and more.
The Against the Storm Supporter Pack features the official game soundtrack as well as 4K wallpapers, emoji packs, and a look behind the scenes with concept art sheets and more.
Against the Storm is localized into German, French, Spanish, Italian, Czech, Hungarian, Polish, Ukrainian, Turkish, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Thai, Korean, and Japanese.
Against the Storm is available now for PC via Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, and PC Game Pass for $29.99 / £24.99 / €29.99 / ¥3,980. It currently holds a 95% “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam with over 15,000 reviews. A press kit is available.
