Since its initial reveal in 2020, Broken Arrow has continued to make strides. Amassing a hugely impressive player count in the tens of thousands for previous open betas and sitting in comfort as the most wishlisted RTS game on Steam, it’s fair to say that Broken Arrow will be a complete game changer in the space. With this in mind, what do we know so far?

All aboard, but which platform? 🖥️

Broken Arrow is set to initially launch on PC in June 2025 via Steam, with other potential PC software to be confirmed in the future. There are no plans at this stage to release Broken Arrow on other platforms, and the game will contain mature content and will launch with an age rating of 16+.

The skies and the ground are yours to command and conquer 🪖

In Broken Arrow, players will be treated to a total of 234 ground units and 84 aerial units. Out of the 234 ground units, 69 of which are infantry units, with the rest best described as attack vehicles, support vehicles, artillery, or reconnaissance vehicles. With a wide variety of tanks, trucks, planes, and helicopters at immediate disposal, the options and tactics for battle are vast, ultimately offering players immense replayability.

Chart a course to victory 🗺️
On launch, Broken Arrow will have 20 available playable maps, all based around the Baltic area. Traverse the roads with ground units or take to the skies with aerial units as each map offers countless possibilities on how players can plan, navigate, and execute their next strike and come out victorious.

How does it play? 🎮
Broken Arrow will present itself in a top-down format, allowing players to get a proper lay of the land when planning attacks and routes to take. Post-launch will also see the arrival of new army types, additional theatres of war, and additional factions set to be introduced.

Show off your skills 🧠
Broken Arrow will also launch with its own unique Steam achievements. What better way for players to let the world know their RTS skill set than by showcasing what they’ve achieved in-game?

No in-game currencies, just pure RTS gaming goodness 🌟
Broken Arrow will feature in-game cosmetics, but as of right now, these won’t be available to purchase via an in-game system. In-game skins may be added to the game post-launch, potentially for free, and included in bigger DLCs, which will also add additional content such as new units and specialisations.
