Gothic: A Shadow’s Quest Board Game Smashes Crowdfunding Goal in Just One Hour

Vienna, Austria - April 23, 2025: Gothic: A Shadow’s Quest, the highly anticipated board game adaptation of the iconic video game Gothic, has stormed past its crowdfunding goal of 50,000 € in just one hour – and the momentum isn’t slowing down.


Currently sitting at over 100.000 € in funding and with more than 1.000 passionate backers, the Gamefound campaign is shaping up to be a tremendous success in tabletop gaming. With the campaign live until May 14, 15:00 CEST, there’s still time for fans old and new to join the adventure and secure their copy.


Created by THQ Nordic’s Board Game division – the same team behind Darksiders: The Forbidden Land – Gothic: A Shadow’s Quest delivers an immersive, tactical experience where you take on the role of a "Shadow" in the infamous Old Camp. Play solo or with up to three friends (plus an optional game master), choose your class – swordsman, archer, or caster – and embark on dangerous missions for Gomez. Collect items, riches, and XP as you explore, level up, and battle increasingly deadly foes like Scavengers, Orcs, and the dreaded Minecrawlers.

The core game is available for 80 € (plus VAT and shipping), and fans can also grab a beautifully designed Gothic dice set for 6 €.
