Kolibri Games' Idle Bank Tycoon Launches on Mobile

The Berlin-based developer’s release sees its portfolio expand to ten titles, and constitutes its latest push in the company’s mission of reinventing the idle genre.

Berlin, 4 January 2023 | Kolibri Games' newest idle game title, Idle Bank Tycoon is now globally available on iOS and Android following a successful soft launch that gathered overwhelmingly positive reviews (4.8/5 in the Apple Play Store).

The Berlin-based developer has been spearheading innovation in the idle genre for a number of years since its first major hit, Idle Miner Tycoon, a title that has gone on to surpass 150 million downloads worldwide. Its latest title adds to a continuously expanding portfolio that has now reached ten games and offers players additional features, including competitive events, and immersive moment-to-moment gameplay similar to what players are accustomed to in match-3 titles.

Guillaume Verlinden, Managing Director of Kolibri Games, says:

“Since we laid out our mission of reinventing the idle genre, our teams have continued to show tremendous innovation and resourcefulness in pushing the boundaries of the genre. Idle Bank is another testament to this, with its enhanced gameplay and appealing visuals.

It’s also the result of the lessons learned from previous releases, as we continue to refine our approach to game development, combining conclusions drawn from past experiences with new ideas that will push us forward. Congratulations to everyone involved with the release ”.

Dzmitry Yudo, Product Director for New Games adds:

“When we first conceived of Idle Bank Tycoon, our main focus was on offering players an enhanced visual experience that would lead to high levels of engagement. This hinged on our team being able to make the right decisions in regard to the game’s design and pace of progression.

Idle Bank’s gameplay represents a major step forward for us, as we achieved the creation of a more immersive type of idle game. This is visible in various aspects of the gameplay, such as the sequential progression of banks, the quality of the bottleneck visualization, along with the characters themselves.

This release will also be a springboard for us to introduce more active moment-to-moment gameplay in future games. We’re all proud of the end result, and we hope our players will enjoy building their banking empires”.
