Shanghai, China, December 3, 2024 - Developer Sunborn Games is pleased to announce the successful global launch of its tactical RPG Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium began today on PC and mobile. The global cross-platform launch follows a successful closed-beta test in November and a pre-registration phase that saw over 5 million players pre-register for the game and unlock milestone rewards for use in-game at launch, including Access Permission x10 and the Tactical Doll Cheeta. From launch, Commanders can earn over 30 targeted Access Permissions through login tasks, with completed objectives earning additional pulls and rewards.
Exilium is the sequel to Girls’ Frontline and the latest entry in a franchise that includes a serialized manga, multiple anime adaptions and spin-off games. Players, new and old, will experience the thrill of commanding anime-inspired android personifications of real-world weapons as they fight in strategic turn-based battles. These highly advanced androids, known as T-Dolls, bring unique abilities to the battlefield, from agile damage dealers to sturdy tanks and life-saving healers. Commanders must assess the situation and the battlefield to lead their Dolls to victory, with a variety of battlefield types, terrains and cover options available in-game. Players can interact with the T-Dolls during their downtime, engage in minigames, switch up their combat suits, and more. Limited outfits will be available for purchase in the Outfit Boutique starting December 3rd.
When not fighting, Commanders can take a break with their T-Dolls in the Refitting Room and Dormitory. Each T-Doll has a distinct personality, elevated with expert voice-acting from some of the best voice-actors in anime, such as Marina Inoue (Attack on Titan, My Hero Academia) and Naomi Ōzora (Valkyria Chronicles, Shin Megami Tensei). Groza, Lotta, and Vepley were among the T-Dolls to be featured in a character and outfit showcase in the lead-up to the launch. Exilium’s Non-Photorealistic Rendering (NPR) art style based on Physically Based Rendering (PBR) technology means every detail, from the intricate textures of a T-Doll's uniform to the glistening sheen of a weapon, is rendered with stunning accuracy.
As players unlock more weapons to arm their T-Dolls, from close-quarter melee blades to ranged firearms, they can be displayed and viewed from any angle in the weapon gallery, with customization options to really make each player’s collection their own.
