Wednesday, 10 July 2024, Cambridge, UK. Jagex is thrilled to announce the return of a classic RuneScape quest, ‘While Guthix Sleeps’, rebuilt and reimagined for Old School RuneScape, and available in-game today.
Revisit RuneScape’s very first Grandmaster Quest and discover an epic, high-stakes narrative on your adventure to stop the schemes of a deadly Mahjarrat. Unearth an ancient Guthixian Temple, venturing within to unlock rewards and take on the hordes of Tormented Demons inside.
Originally launched in 2008, While Guthix Sleeps set a new standard in RuneScape for its difficulty, complexity, and storytelling. Designed for veteran players, the quest’s return for Old School RuneScape brings with it the same attention to detail as its original RuneScape release, but with new rewards and improvements for a modern audience.
Players who complete While Guthix Sleeps can earn substantial in-game rewards and the opportunity to face repeatable combat encounters, challenging their skills and perfecting their strategies against iconic enemies in a setting steeped in lore and RuneScape history.
