Alpharetta, USA - July 18, 2024 - Titan Forge Games has announced that the fourth Alpha Weekend Event for SMITE 2 begins today. Ares and Susano will be added to the game, as well as the new game mode, Arena. This will be the final Alpha Weekend Event before SMITE 2 enters its 24/7 Closed Alpha testing phase on August 27.
Arena mode is a popular fast-paced brawling game mode in SMITE that brings players the most intense and chaotic 5v5 fights. The mode is coming to SMITE 2 with a number of improvements but the same spirit of non-stop combat and fun.
Ares, the Greek god of war, excels in empowering his allies and controlling the battlefield. His chains can completely turn the tide of a battle, slowing and stunning enemies that now have to flee or face heavy damage. Susano, the storm god in Japanese mythology, is one of the fastest Gods in the game, capable of dealing substantial damage within seconds. In SMITE, Ares and Susano have distinct roles and playstyle. However, in SMITE 2 players will be able to experiment with builds and come up with new exciting strategies for both Gods.
Additionally, three new cross-gen skins, Mr. Squish Ymir, Goth Gourmet The Morrigan and Cosmic Executioner Thanatos, will become available in SMITE 2 for those who own these skins in SMITE and have linked their SMITE 2 account. For guaranteed access to the closed testing, Founder’s Edition can be purchased on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox and Epic Games Store. Players can also request to join the playtest via the SMITE 2 Steam page or register their interest for playing on other platforms on the official website.
