In response to community feedback, the developers have adjusted the original plans for Season 3 of Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown. Initially designed to introduce Clan Wars, this new season instead enhances the player’s experience with various content additions, including two new mission types: Navigation and Convoy.
In Navigation missions, players must reach a target within a limited time, without a map and guided only by a compass, putting their sense of direction to the test. Meanwhile, Convoy missions—well known to fans of the first two Test Drive Unlimited games—challenge players to carefully transport a designated vehicle to the finish line. These missions operate on a contract-based system and incorporate different parameters based on the chosen difficulty, such as traffic conditions, weather, travel distance, and vehicle type.
Additional customization content is also included, such as the introduction of Sharps and Streets Clan HQ shops, where players can purchase various customization items for their cars and avatars, as well as the return of personalized license plates, allowing players to select a design and custom text from a wide selection.
Season 3 also brings significant gameplay improvements, introducing Solo mode, which allows players to immediately start a race against AI opponents, pause the race anytime and restart it instantly. This mode also lets players choose from five AI difficulty levels and earn rewards accordingly. The developers continue to work on optimizing the game for both consoles and PC, as well as developing new community-requested features for future seasons.

Season 3 new features:
-
Two new race types, Navigation and Convoy, combining objective searching, route anticipation, and driving mastery.
-
New cars, including the Aston Martin Valour, the Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta, the legendary DeLorean DMC-12, and the Pininfarina Battista—previously an exclusive ranked mode reward from the first season, now available for purchase at the dealership.
-
The Solar Pass, once again free for all players, now offers 50 levels instead of 25, allowing players to unlock numerous cosmetics and rewards.
-
Customizable plates and Clan shops, adding new exclusive customization items for Sharps and Streets, both for cars and avatars.
-
Quality of Life enhancements, with the addition of Solo mode, which allows instant pause and quick restart during a race, as well as the choice of AI difficulty among five levels.
