Kettering, UK – 1st September 2022: Red Chain Games, developer, and publisher of “Boxed In”, is proud to announce their next title: “Supersonic Fight” – a combat flight simulator inspired by the Amiga classic “F/A-18 Interceptor” by Bob Dinnerman. Players will pilot the F/A-18C multi-role fighter on missions over the San Francisco Bay Area.

Red Chain co-founder, Richard M. Smith (lead programmer of Rebellion’s “Sniper Elite” and “Delta Force: Urban Warfare”) says: “I believe there is a gap in the flight-sim market where you have Ace Combat at one end and DCS at the other. DCS is incredible but it takes a lot of commitment. Ace Combat looks amazing but doesn’t offer much of a simulation. Supersonic Fight will be easy to pick up and offer a taste of what it’s like to fly one of these 67-million-dollar machines!”

One element that Red Chain are giving a lot of attention to is the soundtrack. They have partnered with the talented musician D4XX – perhaps best known for his remixes of Amiga music but also an accomplished dance music producer – he is producing an original soundtrack with a distinct retro vibe. Extracts from three of his tracks can be heard in the announcement trailer.

The game will contain a single-player story comprising multiple missions as well as online multiplayer game modes including Dogfight, Team Dogfight, Capture-the-Flag and VIP. Currently, the estimated release date is Q4, 2023 and the game will target multiple platforms including Steam, VR and consoles.
