April 24, 2025 - Hooded Horse and 3DIVISION are pleased to announce that socialism is bound by neither time nor space. Not content with spreading their ideals across the world, the developers will now spread them back in time with a new DLC pack that offers earlier start dates. Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic - Early Start will release on PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store on May 22, 2025.
Offering period-appropriate vehicles, technology, and buildings, the Early Start DLC will let players choose to begin the game as far back as the 1930s, with additional start dates in the 1940s and 50s. These earlier eras come with new challenges and limitations, as well as options for crafting the ideal Soviet republic across a longer period of time.
Highlights include:
- Over 90 new vehicles across all categories, including Soviet and NATO designs.
- Expanded content for the Coal industry given its increased importance during these time periods.
- More building options to better reflect the architectural styles and limitations of the times.
- New iconic monuments.
- Revised tech-tree to reflect the technological progress of these earlier eras.
- Two brand new maps covering Moscow and St. Petersburg, which can be played with existing populations or with entirely blank starts.
Maps from the base game and the World Maps & Biomes DLC are also compatible with the earlier start dates and associated content.
