Cult Classic CRPG Geneforge 2 - Infestation Is Out Now!

Spiderweb Software’s next epic adventure lands on PC and Mac today

Seattle, 27 March 2024 - Geneforge 2 - Infestation, the latest addition to Spiderweb Software’s sprawling RPG catalogue, is now available to play on PC and Mac, with an iPad version coming in the near future. A full remaster of the original cult classic Geneforge 2, Infestation expands on its predecessor with new storylines, quests, adventures, and a revamped UI - all while retaining the hallmark gameplay and freedom that made the series successful. 

In Geneforge 2 - Infestation, players take the role of Shapers, immensely powerful wizards who create life to serve and fight for them. However, rebellion has broken out among the Shapers’ once-loyal creations. Trapped in the chaos, you are suddenly able to decide the future of the world. Will you side with the mighty Shapers to crush this rebellion, or will you steal forbidden powers and lead the rebels to freedom? 
   
Following an immensely successful Kickstarter, Geneforge 2 - Infestation hits the shelves with strong support from new and old fans of the series. The crowdfunding campaign managed to raise over $76,500 from more than 1,500 backers, allowing Spiderweb Software to add multiple new storylines, creations, and artifacts for you to use on your quest.

As a result, Geneforge 2 - Infestation will feature over 50 hours of gameplay, an array of different endings, and ample replayability. Throughout your journey, you’ll also be able to adopt a unique playstyle that fully reflects your character’s persona. Fight your way through the story with blades, missiles, or magic. Build your own army of custom-made mutant monsters or resort to trickery, diplomacy, and stealth to solve the crisis without shedding a single drop of blood. But remember: every choice has its consequences!
