NEW PUBLISHER SHORELINE GAMES LAUNCHES WITH THREE TITLES TO KICK OFF 2025

Nova Hearts, Sanatorium, and Onirism Lead the Way for Shoreline Games’ First Titles Set to Release in 2025

Seattle – October 1, 2024 | Shoreline Games, a new studio founded out of gaming and entertainment industry veterans, is slated to release with three titles from a trio of talented game studios starting from Q1 of 2025, with more to be announced at a later date.

Nova Hearts
Shoreline Games will kick things off with Nova Hearts, a turn-based strategy game with dating sim and visual novel elements, from Lightbulb Crew who most notably released Othercide to an overwhelmingly positive critical reception from both press and audience alike. Their second game, now in collaboration with Shoreline, is focused around a mysterious force of power that transforms you and other highly attractive people in your area into superheroes and villains! In its tag line, it’s a TEXT, DATE and FIGHT your friends and enemies alike.

Sanatorium

Sanatorium will be next with an early Q2 2025 release. The game takes place in the 1920s and addresses the blurred lines between modern psychiatric treatments and pseudoscience. Akin to critical success Papers, Please, Sanatorium takes a similar approach but to diagnose and treat your patients; balance your moral decisions and society’s expectations; all while trying to uncover something you lost long ago.

Onirism

In late Q2 early Q3 2025, Crimson Tales’ Onirism will be slated to move out of early access and into 1.0 release. Onirism centers around the world of Crearia where our protagonist Carol is tasked with putting her enemies to sleep. Carol uses a variety of toys and abilities to aid her in her quest to find Bunbun in this colorful dream-like universe where literally anything is possible.

“With over 17,000 games being released yearly, our goal is to find games that are systems-based, have a very clear narrative throughline, and provide it with the visibility needed to cut through all the noise that’s out there,” said CEO and co-founder Keith Kawamura. “I love telling stories, and I want Shoreline and the games it works with to be the extension of that with a clear path to enjoyment.”

Kawamura and co-founder Jenny Zha have established footing in both games and streaming video specifically in publishing and marketing. Both have served in the growth functions for some of the biggest names including but not limited to Crunchyroll, Rakuten Viki, CJ Entertainment, Devolver Digital, South by Southwest, Unknown Worlds Entertainment, Perfect World Entertainment, and Avex.

“What we’ve learned from our experience is how to nurture communities and fandoms wherever they are,” said COO and co-founder Jenny Zha. “We identify with games because we see a reflection of our identity therein, and that’s something we want to pull into the spotlight for each of these games and communities we are working with.”
