The cozy sandbox game’s DEMO goes live on Steam with it’s Trains, Fences & Walls update.

August 12, 2024 — Indie developer Last Minute Studios has released a new DEMO of Mystopia, the cozy sandbox game inspired by witchcraft, now live on Steam. The update, titled "Trains, Fences & Walls" introduces new ways for players to personalize and engage with their worlds, alongside a major graphical overhaul.


Update Highlights
The team wanted Mystopia to be a game you could play while relaxing with your favourite drink, and their color and lighting rework does just that.

Trains
Players can now build their own railway systems using straight or curved tracks and place trains on them to run through their worlds.

Fences & Walls
Mystopia adds a new dimension of interactivity with fences and walls, making it easier than ever to beautify your worlds. Players can now place two or more compatible blocks next to each other to merge them, with each culture offering its own fences or walls.

Transformable Blocks
Blocks can now be transformed on the fly. Don’t like a block or want a variation? Simply click on it to transform it into it’s variant, providing more design freedom.

Get your items back from the Cauldron
Players can now get the items back from the Cauldron. If you change your mind about a potion, simply click on the Cauldron to get your items back and try a different recipe.

Mystopia is a relaxing sandbox game about building your own worlds and crafting magical potions. Discover blocks inspired by witchcraft from different cultures, use potions for mystifying effects and build your dream worlds!


- Discover blocks from different cultures: The blocks in Mystopia are inspired by witchcraft from different cultures including Europe, Japan, China & more. These blocks can be anything: a ground, a plant, a magic hat, a Gong, a Torii gate and many more!
- Design your dream worlds: Design your world the way you want. There is no wrong way. Take a screenshot of your world anytime and share it with just one click. Mystopia never ends; each world is a unique experience that always feels cozy.
- Craft and use potions for mystifying effects: Craft and use potions to make your world more unique. Each potion does something different - find them all! Mix items you discover in your world into the cauldron to explore all sorts of recipes.
- Track your progress: You can track your progress through the Collection Book.
