Croc Legend of the Gobbos Remaster - First Patch Released

Called “a nostalgic overload” by PushSquare and a “near perfect remaster” by GamingBible, Croc: Legend of the Gobbos has made a big splash, earning great reviews from critics and fans since its launch.

Today, we are releasing our first patch for Croc Legend of the Gobbos remaster, fixing issues reported by the Croc community. The first platform to receive the patch should be GOG (PC), and then we will follow up with additional posts as each console patch becomes available on their respective platforms.

Here is a summary of the fixes included in the patch:

  • Fixed collision issues with the spiky ball. Previously, the collision point for the spiky ball did not line up with the visuals

  • Music track selection should now match the original PlayStation release

  • The puzzle pieces in the island level select screen now correctly identify collected puzzle pieces

  • Fixed issue with classic camera being at an awkward angle when Croc is on monkey bars

  • Fixed the odd positioning of Demon Itsy during the rolling animation

  • Fixed stuttery movement on shell-game boxes and Cactus Jack

  • Cleaned up visible dark patches and seams at the base of water/lava falls

  • Sparkles on snow levels are now more visible and consistent with the original game

  • Restored missing particle effects

  • Ambient sounds now play continuously

  • Fixed bad eye-blinking on Balloon Man

  • The bonus crystals now display in the HUD when standing at the door unlocked by the crystals

  • Fixed alignment of bonus crystals in the HUD

  • Island level select screen: Corrected the right arrow issue that sometimes incorrectly showed that the final island was available when locked

  • On a brand-new save, the game would incorrectly default to having a custom rendering preset, and we have corrected this issue

  • Changed Gobbo count on the island select screen to say, for example, “2/6” rather than just “2”

  • Fixed an incorrectly displayed track length in the Crocipedia soundtrack

GOG (PC) only:

  • Fixed a crash that occurred if the game was closed while loading or playing FMVs

Switch only:

  • Moved the physical position of Jump, 180-degree flip, and Attack to match the original game and all the other platforms, based on overwhelming user feedback

PlayStation 4 only:

  • The trophy set icon is no longer badly cropped

Xbox only:

  • Fixed an issue with the Xbox Crystal Clear achievement not always triggering

Currently under investigation (not fixed), PC only:

  • Frame rate issues on the ASUS ROG Ally device
