Japanese-Inspired Action RPG Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade Set for Release on April 24!

Theme Songs Teaser Performed by Yoko Hikasa, Ayana Taketatsu, and Rikiya Koyama Now Available

The Taiwanese indie game studio 7QUARK, in collaboration with global publisher Game Source Entertainment (GSE), has announced that its Japanese-inspired action RPG Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade will launch on April 24, 2025. The game will be available on Steam, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. To celebrate the announcement, the team has shared a teaser of character theme songs performed by the main protagonists: Shigure (voiced by Yoko Hikasa), Sara (voiced by Ayana Taketatsu), and Taketora (voiced by Rikiya Koyama).

Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade combines the essence of Japanese aesthetics with the dynamic mechanics of Roguelite gameplay. Set in the Edo period, where harmony between humans and demons has been shattered by the Nine-tailed Fox's rampage, the story plunges the world into chaos. Players will step into the shoes of three protagonists: Shigure, an Immortal Ninja; Sara, an Oni Emissary; and Taketora, a Demon Samurai. Each character wields a unique weapon—demon blades, dual blades, and the yumi bow—as they face foes in a cycle of life and death.

The game’s journey to completion has not been without challenges. In 2024, the project faced significant internal and external hurdles, prompting the team to launch an emergency Kickstarter campaign to secure funding for the final development phase. The campaign exceeded its goal, reaching 152% funding and garnering strong community support. Notably, the "Taketora Collection Pack" sold out rapidly, with an additional 300 slots added to meet demand.

After careful consideration, 7QUARK and GSE have finalized the release date, setting April 24, 2025, as the official launch. Pre-orders for the physical editions—including Standard and Limited Editions—are now available for Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS5 on major platforms like Amazon. The Steam page is also live, inviting players to add the game to their wishlists.

To build excitement for the release, the team has unveiled a teaser of the character theme songs alongside cinematic cutscenes that showcase the game's vibrant Japanese-inspired world. Players can experience a glimpse of the stunning visuals and emotional depth of Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade.
