Brno, Czech Republic, January 23, 2025 – The year 2024 was a true game changer for the MADFINGER Games. After several years of development, the studio released its first PC game at a time when its resources were nearly depleted. The release of Gray Zone Warfare in April of last year placed the developers in a make-or-break situation. However, the studio’s CEO, Marek Rabas, never doubted the game’s success, and his confidence was proven right.

In addition to numerous accolades on Steam (link), Gray Zone Warfare achieved many other milestones last year. Over one million copies of the game were sold, and more than 70,000 players were online simultaneously at its peak.

As the most profitable Czech game of the year on Steam, Gray Zone Warfare received 49,347 player reviews. Since the release of the last major update, the game’s Steam rating has climbed from 68% to 76%, with positive reviews continuing to grow.

An intense development focus on continuous improvement led to 2,163 bug fixes in the first six months. Four patches and 14 hotfixes were released, with the most significant improvements made in AI, performance, and game stability.

After these achievements, MADFINGER Games has big plans for 2025. Players of Gray Zone Warfare can look forward to PvP events, expanded lore, weather systems, and more new features and improvements. Further details will be announced in the coming weeks.
