February 2, 2023 - Hooded Horse is pleased to share even more news from city builder Against the Storm as it ploughs through the storm-swept forest of Steam Early Access. Following on from the previous patch, the second half of the game's ‘Rainpunk’ content update has now been released, complete with balances, fine-tuning, and community suggestions.
Check out the full patch notes to learn more about this update. Rainpunk part two also comes with new glade events, forest mysteries, and cornerstones. From now until February 9, players can also vote in-game for what the next new species will be - the winning vote will be introduced in a future content update as another race that can be recruited to your towns. They will have their own specialties, needs, and can be assigned to your buildings as workers.
In addition to the above, we’re delighted to share that Against the Storm is a finalist for the Independent Game Festival’s prestigious ‘Excellent in Game Design’ award. As an IGF finalist, the game is also eligible for the IGF Audience Award, and fans can vote for it via this form until February 9.
Against the Storm is available on PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store for $19.99 / £17.99 / 19.99 EUR. It currently holds a 96% ‘Overwhelmingly Positive’ rating on Steam with nearly 6,500 reviews. A press kit is available.
