WARSAW, Poland – January 9, 2025 – Janosik 2, the retro-inspired action platformer by Onix Games and published by Retrovibe, is celebrating its first monthiversary sponsored by number 9 apparently. Released on December 9th, Janosik 2 received a 95% review score from Steam players and has been ranked 9th in the IndieDB Indie of the Year 2024 awards and received a respectable 9.5 from GameGrin’s Dylan Pamintuan.

Janosik 2 is a sequel to 2020's Janosik, which was downloaded over 500,000 times on Steam and GOG. The latest installment builds on the first game, delivering a richer and more refined experience for fans of fast-paced platforming, exploration, and retro charm.
Set in a folklore-inspired world, Janosik 2 takes players on a thrilling rescue mission to save Janka, Janosik’s beloved, while battling mythical creatures, solving puzzles, and exploring beautifully crafted levels. The game combines classic platforming mechanics with a metroidvania-style progression that has captivated players worldwide.

The game’s inclusion in the IndieDB Top 10 Indie Games of 2024 highlights the passion and effort of the solo developer Marcin Onysko, from Onyx Games.
