Party-based Metroidvania Arcadia: Colony releases today for Switch

Master the unique abilities of three charming characters, uncover hidden secrets, and save the Colony!

16 May 2024 - Kibe Software House is excited to announce that Arcadia: Colony, the anime-inspired Metroidvania, is out today on Nintendo Switch.

Welcome to the Colony, once a place of peace and home to hundreds of citizens thriving harmoniously. Now a land invaded by the Champion of the Sky, who brought destruction and terror with its behemothic mechanical birds that will stop at nothing to steal the settlement’s powerful secrets for themselves.

Fortunately, there is still hope for the future of the Colony. Airi, Enji, and Tazpo, three courageous heroes with unique abilities, are ready to take on impossible odds to save their sanctuary and protect the balance of their world.

Airi, the nimble-footed rabbit, can leap to great heights to dodge danger and explore hidden areas. Enji, the perceptive porcupine, relies on her intellect to deploy gadgets that let her overcome obstacles. Last but by no means least, Tazpo the brawny mole, uses his strength to launch himself through tough earth that would halt Airi and Enji in their tracks.

Players will be challenged to utilize each character's unique abilities at the correct moments to traverse the Colony and destroy the deadly bird bots. Arcadia: Colony’s tightly tuned controls will reward players who rise to the challenge and master their moves to turn the tide against the metal miscreants.

Claudio David, game director and founder of Kibe Software House, said: “Arcadia: Colony is perfectly suited to the portability of the Nintendo Switch and the grab-and-go nature of the system. We think you’ll love exploring the Colony and uncovering all the secrets it has to offer!”
