Irvine, California – November 19, 2020 Joycity is bringing their popular mobile strategy game, Pirates of the Caribbean: Tides of War to Facebook Gaming in tandem with a big Season 5 update that will bring many additions and content that players have been asking for.
With the recent announcement of Facebook Gaming’s new cloud-streamed gaming service, Joycity has been hard at work bringing Pirates of the Caribbean: Tides of War to the new platform. Without further ado, it’s finally launching on Facebook Gaming. Existing Gameroom and Android players can simply pick up where they left off on the new cloud-streamed version of the game at [Link]. Joycity will continue to support the Gameroom version until the sunsetting of the platform next year. Players will be able to cross-play between Gameroom and the cloud-streamed versions until that time.
Caribbean Pass Season 5 brings more perks for those players who purchase the Gold Pass. Items such as Bloody Coins, Invitation Letters [Uncommon] and Soul of the Blacksmith will be given to participating players. Ambitious Gold Pass holding players have an opportunity of attaining a permanent, ‘Misty Ancient Octopus’ base skin. But it doesn’t stop there, if a player purchases 2 Gold Passes, they will be given a special box and the permanent territory name tag, ‘Vicious Shark’.
The update also introduces a new Tier 5 tactician ‘Benjamin Gold (Light)’. This new tactician is specialized in attacking pirates, inflicts high damage against them, and has the ability to increase an ally’s gunpowder capacity. The new masterpiece equipment ‘Legendary Strategist’s’ set will be available to craft at Meister level 30. This set provides useful buffs for the Tortuga Brawl, Alliance Battle, and Cave of the Abyss features. Another masterpiece set that is especially geared for conquest, with effects that increase pirate defense, pirate HP, ship firepower, and ship durability will be available for crafting as well. Season 5 will include changes for existing, in-game systems. All players will now receive building-related speed boost items upon reaching levels 5/8/10 and above. Alliance Festival rewards will be reworked to provide different rewards for each level of every season. The daily mission ‘Path of the Great Pirate’ will be improved to provide new players with various quests and rewards, over a period of 5 days to enjoy.
