Seoul, Korea, May 3rd, 2024 - HYBE IM has announced the latest update for its action RPG ASTRA: Knights of Veda today. The game launched last month on Android, iOS, PC, and Steam, giving players a combo of classic beat ‘em up and side-scrolling action with a modern twist against the backdrop of a dark fantasy world.
The next chapter in the world of Planis is here with this latest update, bringing additional characters, season 2 of the ‘Tower of Trials’, and a challenging new Arena Survival game mode. Limited-time items are also available during the Arena Survival event period, including Starstones, Crystals of Heroic Deeds, and Stigma of Elixir.
In this update, Lightning-Fast Aurora joins the battle for Planis. With her trusty bow in hand, Aurora is a ranged hero dealing rapid-fire damage to anything standing in her way. Questing across Planis in search of the whereabouts of The Book, she is an elusive figure whose motives and intentions remain shrouded in mystery. Joining Aurora in the update is the famed knight Electric Butcher Elias. By wielding his massive axe, Elias can channel electricity to shock enemies for critical hits.
Aurora and Elias can show off their talents in the new game mode, Arena Survival, an ancient battlefield that has seen centuries of noble warriors do battle. The Arena Survival mode pits up to ten players against each other, alone or in teams, until there is only one winner. The battlefield will shrink as time passes, forcing players to rethink their plans and creating new strategic opportunities. Players must use the Stars of Judgement to strengthen themselves or utilize the Red Reeds to conceal their movements and launch a surprise attack.
The Arena Survival mode can only be conquered from Thursday to Sunday each week, so make each attempt count before the end of the week! The winner is awarded Crowns of Victory and progress rewards can be obtained based on the final ranking achieved. These can be used to ready up for Season 2 of the ‘Tower of Trials’, with new treasures awaiting on Floors 9 to 12 for those who can re-ascend once more.
