BERLIN – March 15, 2023 – The Cycle: Frontier’s third season arrives March 29, but before then, Prospectors can take on the unique challenges of the new “Storm Divers” in-game event, beginning today on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Strange occurrences are taking place on Fortuna III, as the frequency of storms on Crescent Falls and Tharis Island have tripled. Desperate to uncover the cause of these events, the factions propose dropping Prospectors directly into the storm to investigate.

Players who opt-in to become Storm Divers will get specialized gear to help them survive the tempest, including a night vision helmet, storm-protecting armor, and helpful mods and consumables. Prospectors also have the chance to craft any factional weapon normally locked behind reputation requirements, including legendary weapons and most of the epic and exotic gear, thanks to alien meteor cores and fragments that can only be found on event maps. This streamlined access to late-game equipment offers players the opportunity to experiment with various weapons and gear they may not have had before.

Become a Storm Diver: Players can opt-in by playing on the Crescent Falls and Tharis Island maps, where they will spawn during the storm and receive special gear from factions.

Drop with Specialized Gear: Prospectors can access special equipment like a night vision helmet and storm-protecting armor to help them navigate the dangerous conditions.
- Storms in Overdrive: Storms occur three times more frequently than before. Meteors will crash down throughout the storm, providing dangerous opportunities for great rewards.
- Accelerated Economy: Prospectors can accumulate wealth and favor more rapidly, accessing high-end gear with meteor fragments from the storm.
- Event Quests with Cosmetic Rewards: Each faction has a specific event questline, with a special weapon coating available as a reward. Players can collect up to three cosmetic rewards.
- The Howler Is Coming: Keep your eyes peeled for Howler nest locations on both maps, which you’ll be learning more about when Season 3 kicks off later this month…
