Former Ubisoft Employees Ready Wholesome Management Game For February 28 Release

Bordeaux, France – February 20, 2024 – After debuting with a demo in Steam Next Fest earlier this month, Minami Lane gathered over 30k wishlists and was featured by countless cozy and wholesome content creators who praised the game for its simple, satisfying gameplay and adorable graphics.

Minami Lane was created by developers Dorian and Doriane, a couple who met while working at Ubisoft and who coincidentally share the same name. The duo, known online by usernames Doot and Blibloop, previously collaborated on game jam projects, including Poda Wants a Statue, which helped define the isometric art style and light management mechanics that were repurposed for Minami Lane. According to developer Doriane, "We got amazing feedback and wanted to make a bigger game. I kept telling Dorian that if we can have these results in 3 days, imagine what we could do in 3 months!"

Key features of Minami Lane include:

  • Create and customize your own adorable street
  • Manage shops by adjusting their inventory, recipes, and prices
  • Play strategically to complete each level's mission objectives
  • Keep the streets clean by picking up trash
  • Cats and tanukis!

Minami Lane was selected by the team at Wholesome Games to become the second Wholesome Games Presents title. The organization is best known for its social media accounts and Wholesome Direct video showcase. "Minami Lane is the perfect game for us because it's small but polished, simple but satisfying," says Wholesome Games founder Matthew Taylor.
