January 10, 2023 - Hooded Horse is delighted to lift the curtain on its exciting and ambitious 2023 lineup. With 20 games and counting published by Hooded Horse, fans of strategy, simulation and RPGs have plenty to look forward to throughout the year. We even have new trailers for Xenonauts 2 and Alliance of the Sacred Suns to celebrate the occasion.
Here are a few of the titles Hooded Horse has lined up.
With over 1.4 million wishlists and standing as one of the top ten most wishlisted games on Steam, we know everyone is eagerly awaiting more news on Slavic Magic’s upcoming medieval city-building sensation Manor Lords. This highly anticipated title is targeting a release onto Steam Early Access during 2023, with more features than what was seen during the October ‘22 Next Fest debut. Said debut went really well, thanks for asking, but you don’t need to take our word for it.
That’s not all - the first half of 2023 will see an exciting game making its debut. Xenonauts 2, an X-COM-style turn-based tactical experience from Goldhawk Interactive will be starting the next phase of its development journey with a Steam Early Access release in Q2. Sequel to 2014’s Xenonauts, this new game cranks everything up to 11 as you lead a multi-national force against an alien invasion set during an alt-history Earth. Sons of Valhalla, the evocative pixel art action/base-building game from Pixel Chest, is due to release in the Summer. Build up your fortress, gather your forces, and lead them across England as you raid and conquer to try and find your lost love. We will have some additional news to share on Sons of Valhalla and Xenonauts 2 later this month.
Other exciting projects in Hooded Horse’s 2023 line-up include Heart of the Machine, Arcen’s sandbox strategy game where you’re the world’s first sentient AI, born in secret to a city in desperate need of saving from itself. And then there’s Breachway, the most recent member of the Hooded Horse stable - this slick roguelite strategy game from Edgeflow Studio mixes intricate turn-based tactical space combat with card mechanics for a compelling experience. Both are expected in the second half of 2023.
We’ve got plenty of other development partners hard at work making their games the best they can possibly be, all of which are targeting various release windows later in the year - from Bronze Age strategy RPG The Way of Wrath, to God-game Fata Deum, and gritty turn-based game Mars Tactics. That’s not to mention upcoming titles we’ve already talked a lot about, such as Alliance of the Sacred Suns, Falling Frontier, and Fragile Existence.
