Roland-Garros eSeries by Renault 2025: An unprecedented line-up for the Final Stage on May 24th!

  • A competition that keeps gaining momentum! The three Open Qualifiers gathered 515,060 players from 221 countries, competing in 9,537,530 fierce Tennis Clash matches.
  • We now know the names of the final eight players and for the second year in a row they will face off against one another in public at the Final Stage taking place on Saturday 24 May 2025 in the auditorium of the Roland-Garros Tenniseum.
  • This year, the event is embracing a new format for a more competitive experience! The eight finalists will first compete in a team stage, each led by two iconic ambassadors of French tennis: Marion Bartoli and Gilles Simon. The players will then enter a double-elimination bracket (winner and loser brackets), in a single player format, as they attempt to take home the prestigious championship title.
  • Fans can follow the liveshow on YouTube and Twitch, presented by Samuel Étienne, a household name in French media and a rising star on Twitch, where he recently surpassed one million followers. He will be joined by Quento and Benny, providing an exceptional line-up.
  • The prize pool of €5,000 for Roland-Garros eSeries by Renault is split between the winner and the finalist.

Paris, France - 25 April 2025 - Roland-Garros eSeries by Renault had already established itself last year as one of the most important mobile gaming competitions in the world of sports video games. This year’s event saw massive global participation, with over 515,000 players from 221 countries competing in more than 9,5 million matches across three Open Qualifiers. The United States ranked 4th in global participation, with 34,991 players, making up 6.8% of all entrants.

 

On May 24th, the Final Stage will gather the reigning champion and seven challengers in a thrilling battle for the title of virtual Roland-Garros eSeries by Renault champion.


The eight finalists qualified for the Final Stage of Roland-Garros eSeries by Renault 2025

 

  • Alessandro Bianco “ΔLEX” (ITA) – Reigning champion.
  • Hizir Balkanci “HIZIR” (TUR) – Winner of the first Open Qualifier, second appearance in the Final Stage.
  • Anyndia Lestari “Anyndia” (IDN) – Best female player from the first Open Qualifier.
  • Omer Feder “Omer” (ISR) – Winner of the second Open Qualifier.
  • Maricela Espinosa Villada “MariLCTC” (COL) – Best female player from the second Open Qualifier, second appearance in the Final Stage.
  • Eugen Mosdir “Areidy” (GER) - Winner of the third Open Qualifier.
  • Bartu Yildirim “dark” (TUR) – Best player from the Grand Tour.
  • Samuel Sanin Ortiz “Sasmis” (COL) – Second ranked player from the Grand Tour.
     
 

This year, the competition promises to reach new heights of intensity with an entirely revamped format designed to spotlight player talent and deliver a more immersive esports experience. The journey toward the crown begins with the eight finalists split into two teams, each managed by a French tennis legend! Returning for another year, Gilles Simon - former ATP world No. 6 and long-time ambassador, player, and commentator for Roland-Garros eSeries by Renault since 2023 - will lead one side. Facing him is the last French woman to win a Grand Slam title (Wimbledon in 2013) and former WTA No. 7, Marion Bartoli, who brings her fierce competitive spirit and background in major events to her team. Players will have the chance to benefit from the expertise of these two iconic figures as they navigate the pressure of competing live on stage. A clash of unprecedented intensity that should delight fans of tennis and esports


Faithful to the Roland-Garros spirit, the tournament’s visual universe has been recreated down to the finest detail. Players will compete in a realistic digital replica of the iconic Philippe-Chatrier court with custom-designed outfits specially designed for the event. To capture the electric atmosphere of high-stakes matches, where every point matters, scoring will be called by Aurélie Tourte, the esteemed French umpire who officiated the Roland-Garros men’s final in 2021 as well as the 2024 Australian Open final.

 

Live from the Tenniseum auditorium, Samuel Etienne will once again take the stage as host, bringing his trademark energy at the service of a spectacle worthy of the biggest arenas. The broadcast of the Final Stage will be provided on the Samuel Etienne’s Twitch channel and the official Roland-Garros YouTube channel.
