São Paulo, November 14, 2024 — gamescom latam BIG Festival as part of gamescom latam, the biggest indie games festival in Latin America, is near to closing its submissions. Developers and publishers interested in participating and boosting their games even further can submit them for free on the event's official website until December 15. The title doesn't need to be released, it just requires a playable version for analysis by the selected jury, such as a demo or an Early Access version of the game. Released games are also accepted, as long as they are no more than 2 years old at the time of the event. More information on entries, game criteria, and rules can be found here.
gamescom latam BIG Festival 2025 is part of gamescom latam. This means that those selected will have their games exhibited for free during the five days of the international event that attracted more than 100,000 visitors last year and takes place, from 30 April to 4 May 2025, in the Anhembi District, in São Paulo, Brazil.
In 2024, there were 922 entries from 74 countries, 15 of which were launched at the gamescom latam BIG Festival. The winners were recognized by an international jury, as well as winning a trophy and a cash prize, depending on the category.
"gamescom latam BIG Festival is a great opportunity for studios to promote their games worldwide and get closer to the public in Latin America. It also offers a unique space for networking with other developers and getting access to publishers," says Gustavo Steinberg, CEO of gamescom latam.
Business opportunities
The festival was born in 2012 with a focus on highlighting games created by independent developers and has become the annual meeting point for this segment in Latin America.
Each year, the award selects around 100 of the best and most innovative indie games worldwide, offering the chance to present their work to an international audience. Since 2024, the festival has been held at the heart of gamescom latam.
The representatives of the games selected for the gamescom latam BIG Festival also are provided a unique opportunity for visibility and access to major players in the market. In addition to exhibiting their game at the event, those selected also receive a free Business ticket to participate in the business and networking area of gamescom latam.

Tickets available
For publishers and developers who want to participate in the event and the business roundtables, gamescom latam Business tickets are now available. This is an exclusive space for professionals and companies from the games' industry to network. The prices are:
- Business Online Ticket: US$ 160;
- Business Online + On-site Ticket: US$ 300;
- Business Online + VIP On-site Ticket: US$ 400.
2025 Edition
gamescom latam has already announced details of the next edition, which will take place from 30 April to 4 May 2025. Located this time at the Anhembi District Convention Center in the city of São Paulo, the event will be even bigger, with new projects, participation from companies in the gaming industry, e-Sports championships, meet & greets with creators, talks and more. Details of the attractions will be revealed soon on the official website and social media, with #gamescomlatam2025.

- VIP Day (30 April): 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. BRT (entrance only for guests and those who purchase the Business Ticket on site);
- Thursday and Friday (1 - 2 May): 9h30 a.m. to 9 p.m. BRT;
- Saturday (3 May): 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. BRT;
- Sunday (4 May): 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. BRT.
