Digital Extremes’ Soulframe Devstream Highlights New Social Hub, Companion Summoning, and More Features Heading to Soulframe Preludes

Join Soulframe Preludes by signing up on the official website and take a first look at new features and systems coming in December and beyond

LONDON, Ontario - Dec. 6, 2024 - Digital Extremes’ Devstream for Soulframe delivered reveals players can look forward to in Soulframe Preludes (Pre-Alpha) in December, including companion summoning, the first player social hub, environmental hazard mechanics, and more.

The Soulframe team ended today’s presentation with a short teaser trailer for things to come in 2025, including public access to Preludes, a new Omen Beast, fresh environments to explore, and the highly-requested rideable wolf mount.

“Ever since we started letting players get their hands on Soulframe earlier this year in our Pre-Alpha playtests, things have ramped up in the best way possible,” said Geoff Crookes, Creative Director. “We’ve always had a greater vision for what we aspire Soulframe to be, but feedback from the community will always remain our north star. That community feedback paves a tailored roadmap on changes to make and focus on in our current Pre-Alpha around nearly every aspect of the game as we ramp things up for full public access. We hear the feedback around combat and lack of social features, which is why you’ve seen those elements become major focuses for us as we add new things like social hubs.”

Highlights from the Soulframe Devstream include updates coming to Preludes (Pre-Alpha) players in December:

  • Find refuge from the Ode corruption and forge fresh connections in Soulframe’s first player social hub, Silent Rose Cave. Here players can chat more with NPCs, accept new side quests, and meet other Envoys to party up with before the next adventure.

  • Join the hunt in Orengall's new Fable and forge a new Pact with the wolf.

  • Take caution while dungeon delving as new environmental hazards and challenges creep their way through the crooked corridors changing the flow of exploration.

  • Alongside TennoCon 2024’s Envoy character creation now becoming playable, other quality of life improvements from community feedback also arrive in Preludes like the combat tree UI and potion system reworks.
