9th October 2023 - Developer SIRO Games is excited to announce the launch of Wéko The Mask Gatherer’s first official demo during Steam Next Fest. Available from the 9th of October, the new demo is the conclusion of the team’s work to incorporate fan feedback following Gamescom last month and will introduce players to the wonderful world of Wéko and all the masks, monsters and mysteries it entails.
Launching next year, Wéko The Mask Gatherer is an action-adventure set in a colourful 3D world that follows the journey of Wéko, an unusual green gecko. Wéko will explore dark dungeons, fight menacing monsters and collect powerful masks which enhance his powers. With an expansive open-world to discover, players will seamlessly switch between exploration, combat and puzzle solving as they delve deeper and deeper into the secrets it has to offer.
Players can now explore the Wéko demo, which includes one of the earlier areas in the game. Players will have the opportunity to solve puzzles, get to grips with the combat and uncover some of Wéko’s key masks that will support him in his fight back against the darkness. This early taste of the game has been built on player feedback from a previous preview which was held during Gamescom.
Built with the support of a passionate Kickstarter community, Wéko The Mask Gatherer raised €27,642 of its €25,000 goal early last year. SIRO Games has been hard at work developing the game since then, building and adapting the experience based on player experiences during Gamescom. The launch of the first publicly available demo brings the team one step closer to launching Wéko The Mask Gatherer.
