NeuroNet: Mendax Proxy launches on iOS & Android

Guide the future of a city as the newly created AI known as Arc. Face moral dilemmas, shape its inhabitants' lives, and discover what it means to be human.

April 2, 2024

Dream Harvest, Brighton, UK, based indie game studio, are happy to announce the launch of NeuroNet: Mendax Proxy on iOS and Android devices from the 2nd of April.

WHAT IS NEURONET?

NeuroNet: Mendax Proxy is set in the post-cyberpunk city of Catena and has players play the role of Arc, a city management AI designed by MindCore, a corporation that has deep-rooted control over the city.

As Arc, players will be tasked with helping or hindering a diverse cast of characters from all walks of life, such as undercover reporter Fortran, fast food business owner Papa Ru, and struggling politician Talingrey, among many others. How will you balance the needs of the many against those of the few?

Players are tasked with making moral choices, balancing financial prosperity, public perception, law and order, and the AI's power over eight chapters of branching narrative, which, depending on the choices players make, last anywhere between 6 and 14 hours.

Taking inspiration from hit games such as Reigns and a variety of visual novels, NeuroNet: Mendax Proxy tells a deep, hard-hitting story that questions our relationship with technology, human connection in an age of instant connectivity, how AI might become a more significant part of our lives in the years to come, and what that means to be human.

With 24, fully voiced characters to meet, each with their own side stories and moral problems for players to help them with. NeuroNet: Mendax Proxy is rich with lore and personality that sets it apart from other games in this genre.

WHAT ARE INFLUENCERS AND PRESS SAYING?
"There are some characters you can’t help falling in love with" - Gameluster
"This is a visual novel with a bit more input than the usual titles....NeuroNet: Mendax Proxy is a good, well-presented story with fully voice-acted dialogue, but the questions/dilemmas are the highlights."
Vulgar Knights
Visuals Novels are often seen as a hyper-niche genre. But NeuroNet Mendax Proxy sets itself apart from the “norms” of the genre, and provides an approachable and immersive experience for veterans and newcomers alike.
