Vilnius, Lithuania, February 18, 2025 – Developer Nordcurrent, along with its internal publishing label, Nordcurrent Labs, has announced that Chains of Freedom—a post-apocalyptic, tactical turn-based adventure with real-time exploration and a rich narrative—will be joining Next Fest on February 24, 2025.
Offering players their first chance to experience Chains of Freedom, this tactical adventure thrusts them into a dark, dystopian world, where supernatural threats lurk at every turn. As commanders of an elite military squad, players must explore the treacherous world, equip their team with powerful weapons and gear, adapt their skills to overcome evolving challenges, and unravel a gripping story of conspiracy and betrayal through high-stakes missions.
With deep strategic turn-based combat, Chains of Freedom invites players to carefully plan each move in high-stakes battles where every decision can tip the scales. Mastering terrain, positioning, and squad customisation is key to survival. From brutal melee weapons like meat hooks and axes to devastating flamethrowers and mortars, players must equip and enhance their team to outmanoeuvre enemies.
Chains of Freedom will be released on PC and consoles in 2025 and will be playable for the first time during February's Next Fest. Players can wishlist it now on Steam, EPIC and GOG. To learn more about the game, players can visit the Steam page and follow Nordcurrent Labs on X, Youtube, and Discord.
